Class Structure: 3 Parts

1. Creative Development – Students explore beat ideas, musical motifs, and song concepts while learning how producers shape and develop musical ideas.
2. Production Techniques – Hands-on work in Logic Pro introduces core skills such as MIDI programming, recording, sound design, and arrangement.
3. Listening & Refinement – Students analyse professional tracks, improve their own projects, and develop the critical listening skills used by real producers.

Technical Skills Development

Students practise and develop strong fundamentals:

• Beat creation and groove programming
• MIDI sequencing and editing
• Audio recording and microphone basics
• Loop building and arrangement
• Sound design with synthesizers and samplers
• Mixing fundamentals including balance, EQ, and effects

These exercises build confidence in a modern digital studio environment.

Fun & Creative Projects

Students regularly create their own original beats and tracks in styles they enjoy, such as pop, electronic, hip-hop, or film music. Creative challenges, remix tasks, and collaborative projects keep lessons engaging and inspiring while encouraging artistic individuality.

Suitable for Beginners

No prior experience is required. Students progress step-by-step from simple beat-making to producing complete tracks.
Music theory is introduced in a practical way, showing how chords, scales, rhythm, and structure directly support creativity and production.

Equipment & Organisation

Lessons are centred around Logic Pro, with all necessary equipment provided by our lead teacher Richard, including MIDI controllers, audio interfaces, microphones, and virtual instruments.
Each student follows a personalised learning path based on their musical interests, ensuring steady development of both technical skills and creativity.
