This year, we are thrilled to welcome four new teachers to our team:
Diana
Our new Early Music Education teacher at TKO.
Diana is a music induction teacher fluent in English, French, and Spanish. She is passionate about exploring different rhythms and instruments. With a background as a dance teacher for children in France and the UK, she brings a wealth of experience.
A mother of two, she has multiple teaching credentials, including a certification in Spanish literature and foreign languages for children and adults from the National Pedagogical University in Colombia. She is also a certified Spanish teacher from France.
Joshua
Guitar, Singing, Piano & Cello Teacher (English, Cantonese)
Joshua graduated from RMIT University in Australia with a Bachelor of Music. He achieved ABRSM Grade 8 piano with distinction and holds a Gaodayi Teaching Certificate. With over 15 years of experience as a full-time piano and guitar instructor in Hong Kong, he is dedicated to nurturing musical talent.
Lawrence
Guitar, Drums and Bands Teacher (English, Cantonese, Mandarin)
Lawrence graduated from The University of British Columbia and achieved Rockschool Grade 8 in Drums, Guitar, and Bass. A professional multi-instrumentalist and music producer, he specializes in drums and has over 10 years of experience in the Hong Kong music scene.
His solo album showcases J-citypop infused with Funk and Neo-soul influences, and he has performed at major venues with notable artists. His teaching approach focuses on developing students’ musicality, discipline, and self-confidence.
Rebekah
Guitar, Electric Bass, Double-Bass, Ukulele, Pop Rock Band, and Music Theory Teacher (English, French)
Rebekah formed the Cuban folk group Guarapo while living in Kunming and performed at the 2014 Shanghai JZ Festival. She graduated from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland with a degree in Jazz Performance. As an electric and double bass player, singer, songwriter, and teacher, she began her career in Hong Kong at the age of 15.
Rebekah is also a mentor for youth music programs, inspiring the next generation of musicians.
We are excited to have such talented individuals join our FHK Music family. Their diverse backgrounds and passion for music will undoubtedly enrich our community and inspire our students. Welcome aboard!
