Dear Parents,
FHK Music Adventure started almost five years ago. Back then, it was COVID time in Hong Kong, filled with anxiety and uncertainty. Yet, even amidst those challenges, I was determined to create this music school and ensure that the “musical desert” would end for our children.
Before FHK Music, the only option for international kids to learn music in Stanley, clearwater bay and some other parts of HK was through independent private tutors, often learning alone in their living rooms. I found this approach sad and not motivating. To be perfectly transparent, I did not want this for my own children, which was the key booster to start the music school.From the very beginning, I envisioned a real community of students and families, where they could learn together, play together, and showcase their talents during festive community concerts.
As this school year has ended, five years later, this vision has become a reality, with over 240 students, more than 20 teachers, school partnerships (CDNIS, FIS, Maple Bear, Lou Pichoun…), and many happy families. Of course, everything is not perfect; we are still learning and have areas to improve. However, we are proud of what we have achieved, and this is all thanks to you!
I would also like to thank my 22 teaching colleagues who trusted me enough to join the team. Their commitment to their students is inspiring, and I share their pride when I see all these happy kids progress concert after concert. A special thank you to Mikey, Hinson, and Metal. Together, we form the management team of FHK Music, and without them, nothing would be possible.
Thank you for your trust, for sharing our vision, and for understanding the value of music group learning and concerts. Your support of our new methodology in Hong Kong has made a significant impact.
We are proud to count you as our students and are delighted to change lives by adding music and joy to your families. Thank you very much, and we look forward to seeing you next school year!
