This event featured a full day of performances across various instruments, including piano, flute, violin, guitar, ukulele, drums and vocals. This year, we introduced a special segment dedicated to the vibrant pop rock program led by Mikey, which brought together electric guitarists, vocalists, ukulele players, pianists, and pop rock bands. Another highlight of the event was the classical piano recital in the afternoon, held by Domitille in the prestigious Sky Chapel. This venue, equipped with a grand piano, offered a breathtaking panoramic view of Hong Kong, adding a majestic backdrop to the performances. Parents proudly supported their children as they took to the stage, encouraged by the attentive eyes of their devoted teachers.
A special mention goes to the youngest performers from Diana’s Music Discovery group (age 3 to 5), who bravely stepped up on stage despite their young age. This marked an important first experience for them, helping to build their confidence for future performances. We also want to extend a special thanks to our new DJ teacher, Stephane, for his amazing demos that added an exciting flair to the event!
We were thrilled to welcome, for the first time, the pop choir groups that we teach at CDNIS during the fourth part of the concert.
This event was organized not only to celebrate our students’ talent but also to support Mayaa, a charity we have proudly backed for the eighth consecutive concert. This year, we raised an impressive HKD 28,000 from ticket sales, which will fund one year of education for 14 children in Nepal. Additionally, our bake sale collected HKD 5,745, which will provide complete school book kits for 11 underprivileged children in Hong Kong. We are immensely proud of this initiative and are grateful to all the families who contributed, both through their participation and the delicious baked goods they provided.
Mark your calendars for our next big concert on June 6th. We can’t wait to celebrate even more musical achievements with our amazing community!
