Designed for young learners, our program nurtures a love for music while building essential skills in a fun and supportive environment.
Our lessons follow a clear yet flexible framework, organized into four parts:
We incorporate games and interactive activities for young beginners, making the learning process enjoyable and stimulating! At the end of each lesson, students receive clear homework assignments written in a notebook, ensuring nothing is forgotten.
Students can choose between the Do-Re-Mi (French pitch system) or C-D-E (English pitch system) to suit their preferences.
Theoretical concepts learned in parallel music theory lessons—such as keys, notes, and rhythms—are integrated into practical applications during cello class. Children are also encouraged to join our group music theory & history class to learn how to read scores properly, discover the world of classical music, and make friends!
We emphasize encouragement and praise while creating a pressure-free atmosphere for learning.
For French-speaking pianists aged 7 to 14, participation in the weekly group music theory and history course is required for students aged 7 and above, following the same principle as music schools in France. There is also the possibility to prepare for ABRSM grade exams through our Maestro offer.
Students can showcase their skills by performing solo on stage during FHK Music student recitals, held twice a year, in front of a friendly and supportive audience.
Join us and let your child embark on a wonderful musical journey with the cello!
