aCTIVITY INFOS

Our mission: Spark every child's love for music and turn learning into a joyful adventure!

Designed for young learners, our program nurtures a love for music while building essential skills in a fun and supportive environment.

Class Structure:

Our lessons follow a clear yet flexible framework, organized into four parts:

  1. Warm-Up Exercises: Start with technical exercises to prepare the fingers for playing.
  2. Classical Piece: Work on a carefully selected classical piece from the Suzuki book chosen by the teacher to ensure steady progress.
  3. Modern Piece: Enjoy playing a contemporary piece chosen by the student to keep motivation high and make learning fun.
  4. Reflection Time: Discuss what went well during the lesson and identify areas for improvement, write and explain homework.

Engaging Learning:

We incorporate games and interactive activities for young beginners, making the learning process enjoyable and stimulating! At the end of each lesson, students receive clear homework assignments written in a notebook, ensuring nothing is forgotten.

Pitch System:

Students can choose between the Do-Re-Mi (French pitch system) or C-D-E (English pitch system) to suit their preferences.

Theory in Practice:

Theoretical concepts learned in parallel music theory lessons—such as keys, notes, and rhythms—are integrated into practical applications during cello class. Children are also encouraged to join our group music theory & history class to learn how to read scores properly, discover the world of classical music, and make friends!

Supportive Environment:

We emphasize encouragement and praise while creating a pressure-free atmosphere for learning.

Additional Opportunities:

For French-speaking pianists aged 7 to 14, participation in the weekly group music theory and history course is required for students aged 7 and above, following the same principle as music schools in France. There is also the possibility to prepare for ABRSM grade exams through our Maestro offer.

Performance Opportunities:

Students can showcase their skills by performing solo on stage during FHK Music student recitals, held twice a year, in front of a friendly and supportive audience.

Join us and let your child embark on a wonderful musical journey with the cello!
