Because music is so much better when it is shared, FHK Music is committed to offering and developing fun and fulfilling choir programs for its students.
At Stanley every Tuesday, two groups meet with Nasthasia, our talented French-speaking singing teacher.
First at 5:15 p.m. the girls aged 6-9 go wild to the rhythm of their dynamic pop songs.
Then at 6:15 p.m., it is the turn of the group of 9-13 year olds, girls and boys, to have fun with popular rhythmic songs.
Nasthasia does not stop there, at TKO she also leads a group of 7 to 13 year olds on Thursdays at 4:15 p.m. They have a really cool energy, already sing with some harmonies and sometimes even engage in choreography (we all remember their amazing “We will rock you” show).
You already know these three choir groups because you heard them sing at our Christmas student recital this year. They were absolutely amazing and of course we can’t wait to hear them again at the next big music school charity concert on June 3rd! If your children wish to join them, it is still possible, contact us!
This semester, big news: FHK Music is launching singing classes in English with Amel and Mikey, our young English-speaking singing teachers freshly arrived from London where they studied music.
First in Stanley, Amel has been offering a group singing lesson on Mondays at 4:15 p.m. dedicated to young children aged 5 to 7, since mid-February. Already 5 children are taking part and they are having fun practicing vocal games and memorizing pop songs. Of course, they will also participate in our end-of-year concert!
Finally with Mikey and Amel, FHK Music is proud to start a great musical adventure with the launch of a major choir program at the Canadian International School of Hong Kong (CDNIS) and the opening of two weekly classes at the school campus, with about forty students each. We can’t wait to hear them sing!
Because singing is joy!
