We are excited to share an incredible opportunity with our students this year. FHK Music students are warmly invited to participate in the prestigious Sound of Music Australian International Art Festival and Music Competition — a high-level international platform that brings together music learners from around the world.

An International Stage for Our Young Talents

The competition is organised in two stages:

• Hong Kong Preliminary Round
  May 24 and 25, 2026 (Sunday 1:00pm – 8:00pm and Monday 11:00am – 10:00pm)
  Horizon SeaRoom, 230 Hung To Road, Kwun Tong, Kowloon, Hong Kong
• Global Final Round — Melbourne, Australia
  August 1 and 2, 2026
  The Edge Music Concert Hall, Federation Square, Melbourne

Winners of the Third Prize or above at the Hong Kong preliminaries will be officially invited to represent Hong Kong at the Global Finals in Melbourne. What an opportunity!

Who Can Take Part?

The competition welcomes a wide range of disciplines:

• Piano (age groups et ABRSM/AMEB grading groups)
• String music (violin, viola, cello, double bass)
• Wind music
• Vocal music
• Chamber music

Students of all levels can join — from beginners (Toddler group, 6 years old or younger) to advanced (Performance Diploma group). Both online et offline participation formats are available.
