Across two concert halls and two very different musical atmospheres, the FHK Music family celebrated a full year of hard work, dedication, and artistic growth. From the intimate precision of a classical recital to the electrifying energy of a pop rock show, every student had their moment to shine.
Perhaps the most moving moments of the day came from the youngest performers — 4 and 5-year-olds stepping onto a stage for the very first time, eyes wide, hearts brave. Watching them play their first notes in front of a live audience was a reminder of why music education matters so deeply. And then there were the seasoned students — some with five, six, seven years of experience — who commanded the stage with a confidence that left the room in awe. Seeing them grow year after year is one of the greatest joys of being part of this school.
Midway through the evening, it was the teachers’ turn to take the spotlight — and they did not disappoint. The crowd erupted as all 25 teachers performed together, including a rousing rendition of FHK Music’s official school song and a specially arranged version of Coldplay’s A Sky Full of Stars, reimagined as A School Full of Stars. The entire room sang along. It was one of those rare concert moments that feels like pure magic.
The day closed with the much-anticipated Trophy Ceremony, honouring all medal and trophy winners across disciplines. But the loudest cheers were saved for two very special students: Elliot et Max, the grand winners of the Secret Student competition — Elliot in Classical and Max in Pop. Both took to the stage for solo performances that left the audience breathless. Their dedication, their artistry, and the emotion on their faces in that moment said everything.
Twenty-five teachers poured their hearts into this day. Two hundred and three students gave everything they had. Families, friends, and music lovers packed both rooms from morning to evening. And at the end of it all, what lingered wasn’t just the sound of the music — it was the feeling of a community that truly believes in what it’s building together.
A wonderful cause
Thanks to the FHK music teachers and all the families who were present, the Mayaa Charity has successfully raised HKD$30,000! Thank you, everyone, for contributing in the best possible way — your support truly makes a difference!
