Families considering exams should plan for additional costs.
Exam fees range from HKD 1,900 to HKD 8,000, depending on the board and level, and are paid directly to the exam board upon registration.
We prepare students for ABRSM (classical, theory-based), Trinity (flexible, performance-focused), and Rockschool (modern, pop/rock).

An optional (highly recommended) HKD 1,500 Exam Package includes:

• 1-hour studio rental or accompaniment session
• One additional 45-minute expert class (with another teacher) for extra feedback before recording

At FHK Music, exams are optional — not our starting point.
We prioritize enjoyment, creativity, group learning, and concerts. For disciplined, academically motivated students, exams can be a meaningful challenge.
As exams require consistent weekly practice and long-term commitment, we carefully assess each child’s readiness to ensure the chosen path supports both progress and a lasting love of music.
