The Suzuki Violin School, Volume 4 marks an important transition from intermediate to more advanced violin study and is proudly recommended by the violin teachers of FHK Music. At this level, students further refine shifting, vibrato, bow articulation, tone production, and stylistic interpretation.

The Suzuki Method® of Talent Education, founded by Dr. Shinichi Suzuki, is based on the belief that every child is born with ability and that environment plays a key role in nurturing that potential. Using the “mother-tongue” approach, students learn through listening, repetition, and positive encouragement. Lessons are typically conducted in private studio settings, often supported by group classes, helping students grow musically and personally.

This revised edition (International/Asian Edition) includes:

  • Revised editing of pieces, with updated bowings and fingerings
  • Additional exercises, including materials from Shinichi Suzuki
  • Teaching insights and suggestions for instructors
  • Text in English, French, German, and Spanish
  • A musical notation guide
  • Fingerboard position guidance
  • An accompanying CD with recordings by William Preucil, Jr., piano accompaniments by Linda Perry, and piano accompaniment tracks alone for practice

Repertoire Includes:

  • Gavotte (J. S. Bach)
  • Concerto in A Minor, Op. 3 No. 6 – 2nd Movement (A. Vivaldi)
  • Concerto in G Minor (A. Vivaldi)
  • Country Dance (C. M. von Weber)
  • German Dance (Dittersdorf)
  • Gigue (Veracini)
  • Concerto for Two Violins in D Minor, BWV 1043 – 1st Movement, Violin I (J. S. Bach)

Through this rich Baroque and Classical repertoire, students strengthen their musical phrasing, coordination, stylistic awareness, and ensemble skills. Volume 4 prepares violinists for more demanding concerto literature and advanced performance opportunities.

A significant and rewarding stage in the Suzuki journey, guiding students toward confident, expressive, and mature musicianship. ??
